Please join Dean Laura Steinberg and Professor Kevin Du as we learn of the many
threats, design flaws, and malicious applications that leave us unprotected and
what we can do about it.

Dean, L. C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science
Steinberg joined Syracuse University as Dean of L.C. Smith College in August 2006. She is an internationally known civil and environmental engineering scholar and expert on urban infrastructure, sustainability and diffusion of technological innovation. She was previously Department Chair at Southern Methodist University and spent more than a decade at Tulane University as both an assistant and associate professor.
Wenliang (Kevin) Du
Associate Professor. Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Du joined L.C. Smith College in August 2001. HIs research includes computer system and network security, data mining & privacy issues, web security, mobile system security, and hands-on security education. He has uncovered potential issues with mobile apps written for the Android system using the webview platform. Du's expertise in cybersecurity includes smart phone technology and its impact on today’s society.
